Fattoush

Fattoush is a Middle Eastern Salad, the primary ingredient of which is toasted pita breads. Other ingredients include Red Pepper, Cucumber, and Tomato. It allows to use at will the different produce of the season, by mixing according to taste, different vegetables and herbs. Usually eaten as an appetizer before lunch or dinner.
Lebanese recipe:
1 piece of arab pita, cut into triangles and grilled; 4 tomatoes; 1 cucumber; 1 onion; fresh parsley; fresh mint; olive oil; the juice of one lemon; black olives; garlic; 1 spoon of dried mint; salt
Slice the tomatoes, the cucumber and the onion, mix with the pita in a salad bowl. Chop the parsley and the mint, and season with lemon juice, olive oil, dried mint, salt and crushed garlic. Mix in the olives at the end. Serve cold.
Possible prounciation: Fetoush, Fettoush or Fetoosh
